DIGITAL BUSINESS UNIT
![]() | The weight of digitalisation in the national economy, its importance to competitiveness and its positive impact on the functioning of governments and the living standards of citizens is beyond dispute nowadays. The topic has been the subject of several studies, technical calculations of international organisations (e.g. ITU1), the European Union and also in Hungary in the past decade2. The Digital Business Unit of Századvég carries out, at the order of its clients, expert and consultation tasks in the fields of business development, all segments of the digital ecosystem (digital infrastructure, digital economy, digital competences, digital state), and the media market. |
In this context, the recent years saw us
- studying available (direct and indirect) EU and Hungarian funds for the development of specific elements of the digital ecosystem,
- studying, in a primary research project, the internet use habits and attitudes of the general population (with special regard to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic), and awareness, and potential fears, of new-generation mobile services (5G) in the general population,
- studying the attitudes and habits of priority and economically significant industries regarding innovative technologies,
- studying, in a primary research project, the habits of the general population regarding digital administration (with special regard to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic),
- studying and analysing, in a primary research project, the habits of microenterprises regarding digital administration (with special regard to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic),
- providing proposals concerning the methodology of measuring the weight and significance of the digital economy more precisely,
- developing a methodology to measure the level of digitalisation in various sectors of the national economy.

- preparing, commenting on regular and ad-hoc (digitalisation) monitoring materials, ad-hoc consultations, presentations, brief summaries, expert materials, preparatory materials.
