Dr. Gábor Czepek

In 2014, Dr Gábor Czepek was appointed Administrative State Secretary of the Ministry of National Development. During this period, he also served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of GYSEV Zrt. and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RÁBA Automotive Holding Plc. In 2018, he became State Secretary for State Asset Management at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office. From 2018 to 2021, he held the positions of CEO and later Chairman & CEO of Szerencsejáték Zrt., Hungary’s national lottery company. In December 2018, he was appointed Ministerial Commissioner for the Implementation of Strategic State Asset Management Tasks of National Importance by the Minister without Portfolio for the Management of National Assets. Between 2020 and 2021, he was first a Member of the Supervisory Board, and later Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. (MNV Zrt.).
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of state and national asset management, he was awarded the Lánczy Leó Prize in 2021. From 2021 to 2022, he served as Chairman & CEO of MVM Energetika Zrt., and between 2021 and 2023, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. As of 1 December 2022, he has been Administrative State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, and from 15 September 2024, Parliamentary State Secretary and Deputy Minister. Since 12 March 2024, he has also served as the Government Commissioner for the Development of Hungarian–Slovak Energy Infrastructure. In addition to his governmental roles, he is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of MVM Energetika Zrt.
