Dr. Gladden Pappin was born in the United States. He previously served as a Senior Visiting Fellow at Mathias Corvinus Collegium and as Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Dallas.
Dr. Pappin is Co-founder and Deputy Editor of American Affairs, as well as Co-founder of Postliberal Order. He previously served as Senior Adviser and Research Fellow at the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture at the University of Notre Dame (2014–2017), and is an alumnus of the Institute for Advanced Studies. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, and since 2021 a member of the Order of Saint George in Constantinople. He is also a citizen of the Osage Nation in Oklahoma.
He earned his undergraduate degree in history (2004) and his doctorate in political science (2012) from Harvard University, where he also received his PhD.
