Research in recent years has clearly shown that the European public is increasingly concerned about climate change, a trend that had not been significantly altered by the pandemic and the energy crisis by the second half of 2022. In Europe, a social consensus on climate change has emerged, with 9 out of 10 Europeans (90%) saying they believe that global warming is changing the planet’s climate. In this context, 83% of EU and UK respondents expressed concern about climate change, while 16% were not concerned. Europeans are divided on the European Union’s climate action. The proportion of those satisfied and dissatisfied with the EU’s activities is the same (47-47%).
